Built To Last

About Me

I was a world champion at 31 – and couldn’t get off the floor.

Most people assume I’ve always had it figured out.

They’re wrong.

Age 31: Squats, Bench Press, Deadlifts and podiums. World champion powerlifter.

Age 39: In pain. Moving poorly. Strong on paper, but out of shape — and now a father.

Age 50: Mobile, fit and healthy, pain-free, training for life.

Today at 50, I move better than I did at 30.

Not because I train harder. Because I finally trained smarter.

From World Champion to Fragile Father — and
Back Again

At 31, I was stronger than I’d ever been. World champion powerlifter. Lean, focused, relentless.

But the truth? I was falling apart.

I trained like a machine while being held together by ibuprofen, denial, and sheer bloody-mindedness.

Then one morning, it happened.

I was stuck on the living room floor — flat on my back, like a turtle flipped over. Helpless. Angry. Frustrated.

One thought hit me like a freight train:

“If this is me at 31, what the hell will I be like at 40?”

When Everything Really Mattered

Years later, becoming a father at 39 changed the stakes entirely.

Now the goal wasn’t medals — it was showing up for my daughter today… and still being strong enough to show up for her in 20 years.

You might be here too, wondering if you’ll be the grandad who joins in, or the one who sits it out.

But I still wasn’t where I needed to be. Elevated blood pressure, chronic pain, and moving like a rusty gate.

So I made a choice most never do:

Rebuild from the ground up
Train for function, not just performance
Rewire everything for healthspan and longevity, not the next 12 weeks

The result? Now at 50, I’m not just moving better — I’m living better. Stronger. Fitter. No pain. No compromise.

Who I Work With

I now coach senior leaders, business owners, and high-performers in their 50s and 60s who’ve already tried the obvious:

Personal trainers who don’t understand executive physiology
Fitness apps and programs designed for people who’ve never run a business, led a team, or worked a 12-hour day
Generic advice that ignores pain, movement quality, and long-term sustainability

You’ve done the right things — eaten well, stayed active, seen the specialists, but something still doesn’t add up.

You’re still stiff. Still not getting the results you expect. Still wondering if this is just part of “getting older”.

It’s not.

You don’t need more workouts. You need a strategy from someone who’s already rebuilt what you’re trying to save.

The Transformation You’re Looking For

I’ve been where you are. Maybe worse.

But I rebuilt my body using a system designed for quality of life and longevity, not just performance.

Now I help others do the same.

You’re not broken. You’ve just never been shown how to build a body for the next 30 years, not the next 12 weeks.

That’s what I do.

And if you’re ready to build your Health Pension, I’m ready to show you how.

Because ageing is inevitable. How you age is your choice.
